Last updated : 18 March 2011 By BBC Sport

Burnley boss Eddie Howe will assess the fitness of midfielder Dean Marney, who has a knee problem.

Charlie Austin, Steven Thompson, Martin Paterson and midfielder Chris McCann all remain sidelined.

MATCH PREVIEW

Burnley are seventh in the table and were putting real pressure on the teams in the play-off zone before drawing with Coventry and losing 3-0 against Millwall in recent home matches.

They will now want to return to winning ways and continue their excellent away form. The Clarets are unbeaten in four matches on the road, beating play-off rivals Hull and Lancashire rivals Preston in their last two away games.

Eddie Howe's men face a Bristol City side that are 14th in the table and won four in a row prior to their 3-1 defeat at Norwich on Monday evening. The Robins are looking for a third consecutive home victory.

City continue to be susceptible to conceding early goals. Grant Holt's second-minute opener for Norwich means they have let in five Championship goals this season in the first five minutes of matches - more than any other team.
