Burnley are open to a swap deal involving Nahki Wells as they step up their efforts to sign Bristol City captain Josh Brownhill,
The 24-year-old has impressed with his performances from midfield for the Robins, bagging five goals and two assists this season - and Premier League clubs have started to take notice.
Brownhill has been a target for the Clarets throughout the transfer window, and both sides are now discussing a possible swap deal that could see on-loan QPR striker Wells move to Ashton Gate, according to TEAMtalk.
However, Burnley are not the only side reportedly interested in the former Preston midfielder. Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Southampton and even high-flying Leicester have shown interest in Bristol City's skipper, but no deal has been struck.
Wells could be the icing on the cake for Bristol City, however, who will want extra firepower as they go in search of a play-off spot. During his loan spell with fellow Championship side QPR, the Bermudan striker has bagged 13 goals in 26 league games this season.
