Bristol City captain Louis Carey has been passed fit to play in Friday's Championship game with Leicester City. The 34-year-old was forced to leave the field after breaking his nose for the fourth time in his career in City's 2-0 home defeat by Leeds last Saturday.

"He's got the old lumps reappear which cosmetically he's not too happy about," Millen told BBC Radio Bristol.

"You know Louis it takes a lot for him not to declare himself fit and he's trained today and he's fine."

Bristol City enjoyed an emphatic

3-1 win at the Walkers Stadium

last season with some memorable strikes from Cole Skuse and Ivan Sproule.

You need him to be sharp as he's a forward with good movement and good pace so you don't want him plodding around the pitch because that's not his strength

Keith Millen on Nicky Maynard

And Millen admitted he has some selection dilemmas ahead of Friday's game especially concerning striker Nicky Maynard who came off the bench on Saturday for his first appearance this season.

"We'll have a look and see what's right to start the game," he said.

"Nicky's had a good week's training and certainly his base fitness has improved.

"You need him to be sharp as he's a forward with good movement and good pace so you don't want him plodding around the pitch because that's not his strength.

"So it's about gauging how to get the best out of him and for how long in the game."
