The on-loan Tottenham defender harbours ambitions to play Premier League football with his parent club but revealed another option could be to head back to Ashton Gate.
Caulker, who has linked up with the England Under-21s this week, told the club's official website: "I am starting to think about what happens in the summer.
"I'm looking to spend more time back at Tottenham during the week before coming back to Bristol to prepare properly for the games here.
"It would be great if I could be part of the Tottenham squad but if that's not the case then obviously it will be another loan.
"It's every kid's dream to be playing in the Premier League, that's my target and if it comes next season then that's great."
