City gear up for Cardiff

IN preperation to the derby game with Cardiff, Gary Johnson has urged his players to have their wits about them.

Both sides go into tomorrow looking to push themselves up into the automatic and the City manager is in no doubt that passions will be running high despite the two week layoff for both teams.

Johnson has urged his players to show 'emotional control' in what he expects will be a white hot atmosphere at Ninian park, something which he did not show himself last season when he was dismissed from the touchline.

This time around the Robins boss has said he will be doing his best to keep his cool and hopes his players to the same. He told the Western Daily Press: "The players need to be in control. They have to be agressive without being angry and let their head rule their hearts, that's the message I'll be sending out before the game.

"This is our local derby in the Championship, and as such it always means a little bit more to people."
