BRISTOL City manager Gary Johnson admits that he faces one of the toughest tasks of his managerial career as he helps his side back from a poor run of recent results.

The West country side's uneven start to the season continued last week with a 3-0 defeat at Bramall Lane and Johnson says that the international break could be classed as a curse or a blessing for his team,

"It's the most difficult time because it's the lowest we've been in the Championship, perhaps apart from after two games last season," he told the official website.

City currently lie in 13th position, with 13 points and are ten points behind the leaders Birmingham. While he knows that his team has the potential to be challengers for the Premiership once again but feels that his side are lacking a bit of belief which he hopes to reignite back at Ashton Gate against Norwich on Saturday,

"There are lots of good teams in the Championship and we have to believe that we are a good Championship club.

"At the moment we've got to get that belief back amongst the players, the staff, etc. Wins will get that belief back but at the moment we're all a bit disappointed so there's work to do."
