Easy decision for Wigley

Steve Wigley insists it was "an easy decision" to join Bristol City as assistant manager. Wigley was appointed as the Robins' new number two on Wednesday and is looking forward to working under Keith Millen at Ashton Gate. He told Bristol City Player: "I spoke to Keith last week when he was given the manager's job and met him at the weekend. It was an easy decision to be honest. "Bristol's a big city with a big football club that could sustain growth. I hope I bring a bit of knowledge and help Keith as well. I've been in his shoes, albeit it for a short time. "I like being on the training ground coaching the players and getting people organised. Hopefully I can bring a tempo to everything they do." Wigley will continue as the assistant manager of England's Under-21 team and added: "I've done it for the last three years and it doesn't interfere with club football. It gives me first-hand knowledge of the best young players this country has to offer, which is a great link for Bristol City to have."
