"There were a lot of positives to take out of the game. The negative is that we have been beaten and we don't like being beaten, of course.

"But barring a five-minute period where we didn't quite cope with the two big-uns around the box we got our spirit back.

"I thought that was really important and players came out of their shells a bit and some of them showed there is quality in our team. Given that little bit of luck we would have got something out of it. We didn't but I thought our supporters got behind us because we gave them something to get behind. There was a bit of passion out there.

"I can look ahead to Tuesday now because I think our players are starting to get their games back a bit.

"I try to be honest every week. We were very poor on Saturday but today we came back into our own.

"We had more people firing on all cylinders and we have got a little way to go but we are getting there and it just makes me more confident now."

"I enjoyed the game. It was exciting, fast, and we played some great football.

"We deserved to win as I felt we made the clearest chances.

"I felt if we could have got a third goal we would have gone on and got more, as we hit the bar twice and their goalkeeper had some luck.

"My players deserved the ovation they got at the end as it was a cracking game.

"Now it would be nice to get a big club here in the next round as the players and fans have earned it."
