Gary, on a job well done

"It was a fantastic result and, apart from the first ten minutes when we were a bit all over the place, we soon got our game going and never looked back.

"It's the nature of our beast that the lads were not overawed and we were never out of this tie, we knew that from the first game at Ashton Gate.

"The goals came at the right time. Scotty's was a cracking goal, a typical finish from him.

"But the second one was the important one because it gave us that cushion and something to hold on to. Lee chipped a brilliant ball to the back post and Enoch rose Dixie Dean-like to head home.

"Overall it was a fantastic team performance and at the end we were a bit embarrassed passing the ball and keeping it ten or 12 times in a row.

"It was a great FA Cup tie for us, and obviously disappointing for them, but we have been playing some exciting football recently and that came to the fore tonight.

For Coventry boss Micky Adams it's more heartache.

"I won't be resigning. But I am not going into all that now, because it will all come out anyway, and it would be disrespectful to Bristol City.

"They should have the credit they deserve because it's their night. Bristol City came here full of confidence and had belief in what they were doing.

"We lacked that, and there was only one winner. We can only apologise to the supporters for a performance which was not good enough to say the least.

"We got what we deserved and we should be out of the Cup."
