Johnson looking for continued improvement

BRISTOL City manager Gary Johnson has called on his side to continue their efforts to improve as they face a tough trip to Preston this weekend.

The City boss made four changes to his side on Tuesday, was was pleased with the effort his players put in,

"It was a hard fought game today and both teams worked their socks off, " he told the official website,

"The quality wasn't always there but if the work rate is high then it generally earns you something. Then, that extra bit of quality can win you the game. Unfortunately, we had only one moment like that today."

Despite not being able to breach the Watford defence on more than one occasional Johnson has called on his players to take their chances,

"We had three great chances in first five minutes and another couple in the second half. Me, you, the cameraman and the supporters can't do anything but watch and hope somebody tucks it into the back of net. "

"Overall, I think we created more chances than Watford, I'm just disappointed we didn't take them."
