Johnson says it was a fantastic game

"It was a fantastic game and credit has to go to Dario Gradi and Crewe. They took the game to us with three lads up front.

"We knew it would be an open game but it was important to pass the ball and score more goals than them. It was a great advert for League One football between two very good football teams."

"We created chances and I've lost count of how many times I'd been asked about the fitness of Enoch and Brooks, with people saying we haven't got presence up front.

"The two lads today worked their socks off and gave us presence in a different way. They deserved an extra clap from the supporters."

On the sending off of Crewe's Gary Roberts

"The two lads have gone in very, very hard. We'd have to see it in slow motion but I was surprised to see a red card."
