McAllister looking for quick return

FULL-BACK Jamie McAllister has told Bristol City supporters that he hopes to be back fit again within two weeks.

The Scotland international suffered a toe injury against Barnsley on Saturday and also sat out last night's 0-0 draw with Sheffield United. McAllister like fellow defenders McCombe, Carey and Webster has missed games this season through injury and also he is happy to see City keeping clean sheets without him, the Scotsman is targeting a return to the squad on November 15th.

He told the official website:

He added: "It was nice to receive the results back and be told there's no fracture.

"There was a big fear it could eight-to-ten weeks out with a broken metatarsal, but now it's two weeks due to bruising."

I've got to wear a special boot for the next few days or so and then when the bruising comes out and the swelling goes down I can kick on from there."

McAllister was unhappy with the way the referee handled the situation and admitted that he was not pleased to be tackled in the way he was to pick up the injury,

"The tackle itself was late and deserved a booking, but he (Macken) didn't even get spoken too. The referee (Mike Russell) was joking about my situation and I asked him not to in so many words and then I got booked."

In a bid to shrug off his current situation McAllister has targeted a return to football in the next two weeks,

"If I can get back for the Forest game I'd be happy. I've also got Scotland v Argentina to look forward to (on November 19) and that's another aim."
