Millen, who is a candidate for the post, has guided the side to 2 wins, as well as a draw with top of the table Newcastle, in his nine days in charge.
He told the BBC: "There is a real buzz about the club at the moment."
He added: "We've got to keep that going and then sit down near the end of the season and decide what's best for the club.
"Whether that's me, or bringing someone else in, we shall see."
Alan Curbishley, Steve Coppell, Gareth Southgate and George Burley are all names who have been linked with City's vacant managerial position.
