Basso had overcome injury to start the game but had to be replaced at half time by Weale who Johnson admitted was 'unlucky' to be left out. Bristol City are set to rotate several players tomorrow but with Adriano Basso still out Weale could be set for an extended stay between the sticks.
The City manager told the official website: "Adriano didn't want to let anyone down and knew he was struggling, thats why we took him off.
"It was precautionary more than anything and Adriano's okey. We planned to field Chris against Peterborough and that's still likely to be the case"
