Issue 1

Once again the bank holiday weekend again highlighted city inability to have any consistency in the league. The team played so well against Wycombe with some of the best football since at the gate in recent years. Then two days later the same team struggle against a poor Plymouth team losing 2-0.

This sort of form is not promotion form. If we carry on like this will we be lucky to get a mid table position come May. City have not won back to back games this year and have not scored or won away this season.

I cant really understand the erratic form. How can a team play so well and then two days later look like a completely different team away from home. The reason is obviously Wilson's tactics but why would he change the system he used against Wycombe for the Plymouth game?

What was the point sitting back against Plymouth and letting them come to us. Employing those tactics is going to encourage Plymouth to come forward and pressure. Wilson should have got city to attack from the first Whistle. You don't see teams like Arsenal and Liverpool sitting back away from home. They look for the goal from the first minute.

The tactics is not the only problem with the team with the team lacking a decent attacking midfield. We need a player who can have a bit of flair in the middle of the park and play in the front two. Wilson obvious believes Tinnion can do this but at 34 I have my doubts.

Wilson should have done his job over the summer and brought in a quality attacking midfield but he didn't. There were players like Paul Evans/Martin Rowlands on free transfers and no noticeable approach came for them.

City play good football but they need to become more consistent if we are going to make any challenge on promotion. We cannot go though the season with good home performances and poor away performance. As we may end up struggling at the bottom!!

Wilson needs to change something by the Cheltenham game. He has brought in a defender from WBA in Tony Butler. He will hopefully make the defence more solid. With his size and presence he should be able to get the first ball in defence. But Wilson has got to work on the attack he needs get the partnership between Roberts and Peacock going. If Wilson does that then we should be able to beat Cheltenham and get our season back on track

I am not going to start worry yet but If it is like this is 10 games time then something is going to have to change i.e. WILSON!!!
