What they said? Birmingham City

On losing the game: "None of us like losing, that's for sure. It's never nice no matter who you play, but there are always positives or negatives to come from it.

On why his side failed to beat Birmingham: "I felt our quality in the box wasn't as good as it might be. They took their two goals with a couple of bits of quality and on the day that was the difference.

"We dictated the game except the goals. I think our football people and supporters that understand the game would have seen that, but goals win games. I'm just disappointed we weren't a little bit more clinical in the final third - that includes whoever is in there not just the forwards.

On the team's feelings: "The lads know I was a little bit disappointed. They have taken a rollicking from me because I feel they need to pick up on their quality.

"But they put in an effort, that's for sure. Nobody hid, everyone tried to get on the ball but we are in a league where you have to take your chances and make more of your attacking play.
