AFTER making his debut last week in defeat to Sheffield United forward John Akinde will have given Gary Johnson a good reason to put faith in him again as Bristol City's reserves stormed to a 5-2 victory over Sailsbury.

The 19-year-old started for City's second string yesterday afternoon in a bid to continue to gain fitness since his move from Ebbsfleet in August. Nicky Maynard, Lee Trundle, Cole Skuse and Jamie McCombe all started the game but it was Akinde who was the star of the show.

The striker, who scored on his debut against Plymouth two weeks ago, netted the second of City's five last night and also set up an oppertunity for Lee Trundle to score late on.
