Ashton Gate Chosen For England Under 17 Game

John Peacock's side will play the opening game of the Pepsi Challenge Tournament against Portugal Under 17's at Ashton Gate on Wednesday, 31st August.

"It's fantastic that the Football Association has chosen Bristol City to hold the opening match of this Under 17 International Tournament and we're hoping for a big crowd down at Ashton Gate to cheer England on to victory," City chairman Steve Lansdown told the clubs official website.

The England Under 17's will also play Italy and USA in the four team round-robin tournament with Swindon Town and Cheltenham Town hosting the young Lions' other two fixtures.
