Boss Targetting Top Six Finish

The 2-1 win at Carrow Road leaves City in 8th place in the Chapionship table and just three points behind sixth placed Preston with a game in hand.

"We are on a very good run at the moment and it is obviously very pleasing," the City boss said after the game against The Canaries.

"Not so long ago we were in the bottom half of the table and we are trying to make sure we did not get dragged into the relegation area. To give the boys a lift I told them we should start aiming for the play-off positions and they have responded in really good fashion.

"Now we can go into the final third of the season with a chance of pushing for a top-six finish and we are all really looking forward to the challenge.

"I thought it was a fantastic Championship game with plenty of good football from both sides.

"It was very open, with play switching from end to end, and it could easily have been 7-3 to us or something like that."

"I was very impressed with the way we played early on and told the boys I was proud of them at half-time.

"There was some great passing out there, including the build-up to the first goal, and that is exactly the way I like to see us play.

"But all credit to Norwich. They had a real go at us in the second half."
