AHEAD of the weekend's game between his City side and Queens Park Rangers, Gary Johnson has told the media he believes the visitors to Ashton Gate on Saturday have the quality to get promoted to the Premiership.

QPR are officially the richest club in the world having been taken over by Ferrari boss Flavio Briatore and several of his business colleagues with the aim of turning the West London club back into the force they were during the 1970's and 80's.

The club restrucured their off the pitch matters at the end of last season and appointed Ian Dowie in the summer as manager allowing him an extravagent budget to create a team capable of reaching the Premiership. City boss Johnson said today that he believes that Rangers have everything in place to challenge at the top of the Championship. He told the BBC: "They will be there or thereabouts because they have enough money to give good salaries to people who would not normally come to the Championship. Martinez did it with Spanish players at Swansea, and I did with Yeovil."
