Bristol City could hand new recruit Kevin Betsy his debut in the home derby clash against West Country rivals Cheltenham.

The winger has joined the Robins from Wycombe for an initial fee of £150,000 and goes straight into the squad.

Gary Johnson's men are also boosted by the return of Wayne Andrews and Brian Wilson.

On-loan striker Andrews was cup-tied during Saturday's FA Cup fourth-round draw against Middlesbrough after playing against the Robins for Coventry in the previous round.

Wilson was also cup-tied against Boro having represented Cheltenham in the competition.

Jamie McCombe is available again after serving a one-match ban at the weekend, but strikers Phil Jevons (ankle) and Steve Brooker (hamstring) both remain sidelined.

Scott Brown will make his first appearance as a full Cheltenham player in the trip to his former club.

The 21-year-old midfielder this week agreed a two-and-a-half year deal after initially joining Town on a month's loan earlier in the year from City.

John Ward's relegation-threatened side are further boosted by the return of Craig Armstrong and Damian Spencer after suspension.

But striker Steven Gillespie, recently sent off against Scunthorpe, serves the second game of a three-match ban.

David Bird has been passed fit after a hamstring injury, while Jamie Victory (calf) and Mickey Bell (heel) should return to action next week.

Meanwhile, Robins defender Shane Duff, 24, has signed a new two-and-a-half year deal.

Cheltenham boss Ward said: "I'm really pleased that Shane has committed himself to us for another two-and-a-half years and I think it lets everyone know that we are looking to progress."
