Bristol City v Crystal Palace

Last updated : 27 December 2010 By BBC Sport

Bristol City manager Keith Millen is expected to make changes in the wake of his team's 4-1 defeat against Reading on Boxing Day.He is still without Jamie McAllister (calf) and Liam Fontaine (ankle), while Louis Carey will miss out again because of a virus.

Crystal Palace have a doubt over forward Pablo Counago, who has been nursing a hamstring strain.

Alex Marrow has had an ankle problem and will also need to be assessed.

MATCH PREVIEW

Crystal Palace and Bristol City were both in the top flight when the south London side, then managed by Terry Venables, last won at Ashton Gate, in March 1980.

The Eagles head there with the form book suggesting a victory this time around is highly unlikely. City have enjoyed three consecutive home wins, while relegation-threatened Palace have lost five away matches in a row.

Palace have struggled in front of goal this season, and ominously for them, City have kept three successive clean sheets on their own patch, going almost six hours of Championship football without conceding a goal at home.

And the Robins are developing a habit of beating struggling teams this term. They have already beaten Sheffield United at home, and also won at Middlesbrough and Scunthorpe.
