Cotterill pondering options

Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill looks set to shuffle his pack when they face MK Dons.

The games have been coming thick and fast for Cotterill's stretched squad so he looks likely to make a number of changes from the side beaten 2-0 by Watford in their FA Cup third-round replay on Tuesday night.

Peterborough loanee Tyrone Barnett is pushing for a start while centre-back Derrick Williams' hamstring was not risked against the Hornets and he looks set to return to contention. Wing-backs Scott Wagstaff and Greg Cunningham were rested and will hope to return to the side.

Sam Baldock will be relishing the chance to add to his 12 goals this season when he faces his former club but Liam Kelly and Stephen Pearson are a month away from a return. New signing Adam El-Abd is in the frame for a start.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson is hoping to have teenage midfielder Dele Alli back on the bench.

Alli missed the FA Cup defeat to Wigan on Tuesday night through injury. The 17-year-old scored in the Dons' last League One outing at home to Shrewsbury and will be a welcome addition for Robinson, who is starting to see a host of key players return from long spells on the sidelines.

Bowditch is one of those players and he continued his return to fitness by playing just over an hour against Wigan. However the winger, along with Luke Chadwick and Daniel Powell, is still some distance away from starting a game.

On-loan Everton striker Chris Long was ineligible for the FA Cup but he comes back into the reckoning for the trip to Ashton Gate.
