Bristol City v Scunthorpe

Last updated : 25 February 2011 By BBC Sport

Scunthorpe will assess striker Chris Dagnall, who has been trying to shake off a knee problem.

Joe Murphy, Rob Jones, Niall Canavan, Michael O'Connor, Garry Thompson and Cliff Byrne could all miss out again.

MATCH PREVIEW

A defeat for Bristol City would be a club record-equalling fourth consecutive home league loss. It would also be Scunthorpe's first victory at Ashton Gate since September 1982, when both clubs were in the bottom division.

City's 3-1 triumph at Watford in midweek was only their second win in nine games and was a timely boost for the Robins, who have endured a difficult season.

Scunthorpe are unbeaten in three matches, having won two of them - a run that has taken them above Sheffield United and within three points of Crystal Palace, who sit one place above the drop zone. And Scunthorpe have two games in hand on the London club.

The Iron have suffered four successive away defeats, and have not picked up a point or even scored on the road in 2011. However, they have won away six times this season - more than any other team in the bottom half of the table.
