Bristol City v Watford

Last updated : 13 September 2010 By BBC Sport

Watford striker Marvin Sordell is pushing for a starting place alongside Danny Graham up front.

Defender Lloyd Doyley is out with a calf injury suffered in training last week, so the on-loan Andrew Taylor will continue at left-back.

MATCH PREVIEW

Denied a first home win by an injury-time goal for the second time this season, Malky Mackay's Watford face a Bristol City side who are fresh from their first victory of the campaign.

City's 2-0 success at Scunthorpe was a major boost for the club following a rocky few weeks, and they will now want to give their home fans a win to cheer after conceding a total of six goals in their first two games at Ashton Gate.

Doncaster's last-gasp equaliser in Saturday's 2-2 draw was a real blow for Watford, who also allowed Coventry to secure an unlikely point in stoppage time at Vicarage Road on the opening day.

The Hornets will want to atone for their latest lapse and ensure City goalkeeper David James has an unhappy meeting with the club he started his career at. James, 40, made his Watford debut almost exactly 20 years ago.
