Carey reached 'boiling point'

Bristol City captain Louis Carey has admitted he got sent off against Yeovil because he had "reached boiling point".

Carey had to watch his side lose 2-1 to local rivals Yeovil after he was dismissed in the 45th minute for his part in an altercation with Yeovil's Scott Guyett, who was also shown red.

Robins skipper Carey told the club's official website: "I was boiling over throughout the first half because of the way we were playing.

"I'd reached boiling point and reacted, throwing my elbow in his face. I caught him and I can't moan about the dismissal.

"The fans and lads know how committed I am. We've lost the game and perhaps if I had kept my cool and only he would have been sent off it would have changed it in our favour.

"Perhaps in that way I have let people down. Being captain and a role model I shouldn't have reacted."
