City are completely unchanged and stick with the 3-5-2 that served them well at Tranmere. No change on the bench either. Andy Cooke makes his debut for Bradford having signed from Pusan Icons of South Korea on a Bosman having also played for Stoke and Burnley. He starts up front alongside Dean Windass. Bradford have not had a game for 12 days, City will be hoping that their extra game in that time will make them more match sharp. A fair size crowd in attendance at Ashton Gate.

Bradley Orr shoots wide in the opening minute. A Bradford shot from Lee Crooks balloons over the crossbar Bradford then force the first corner of the game which comes to nothing. Tinnion puts Mickey Bell clear and his cross is deflected for a corner. City force some pressure resulting in a cross from Tinnion that Ireland just fails to connect with.

City force their second corner, Tinnion takes it but it comes to nothing. Lita puts Jamie Smith away his cross is met by Steve Brooker but the keeper punches clear. Ireland wins the ball well against Dean Windass. Bourenmouth take the lead against Sheffield Wednesday. Lita hits the ball across the keeper with his right foot when a shot with his left may have been better and it drifts wide. Then his acrobatic effort is collected by the keeper.

Torquay are in the lead against Hartlepool. Andy Cooke is offside as he ballons an effort over the bar. Phillips saves well as Dean Windass muscles past Danny Coles. Swindon are 1 nil down at home to Blackpool. Mickey Bell crosses towards an unmarked Steve Brooker but it doesn't quite find him and is cleared. Tranmere have the lead at Wrexham. Peterborough are leading at Hull! Steven Gillespie has scored on his Cheltenham debut.

A good cross from Tinnion is met by Brooker but he can't get enough on the ball and it is put out for a corner. Lita gets a shot in that is deflected for a corner. Brentford have the lead at Port Vale. Luton have taken the lead at home to Stockport. A short corner results in a shot from Wilkshire that is deflected for another corner.

A Mickey Bell cross, after good work by Steve Brooker, is just slotted wide by a sliding Leroy Lita. On the break Bradford force a corner which Bradley Orr clears. Jamie Smith reacts badly to a challenge and is booked. Bradfords Morrison is also booked for the initial challenge. Swindon have equalised via Sam Parkin.

A Morrison shot is deflected wide by Craig Ireland. Steve Phillips claims the corner well. Another Morrison shot balloons over. Dean Windass and Brian Tinnion have a bit of a disagreement and are both booked. Tranmere are now 2 up at Wrexham. 2 minutes of injury time at the end of the first half. Mickey Bell is brought down on the wing and Nicky Summerbee is booked. Swindon take the lead at home to Blackpool with Parkins second goal.

City have had a fair amount of pressure but go in goalless at half time.

HT 0-0

Paul Tierney replaces Lewis Emanuel for Bradford City as the second half begins. Schumaker shoots wide. Clayton Fortune is applauded for a fine challenge on Andy Cooke. City are called back for a free kick with Leroy Lita clear. Brooker has an acrobatic effort wide from 25 yards. Lee Miller has scored on his Hearts debut. Hull have equalised at home to Peterborough through Nicky Barmby. Tony Dinning is readying himself to come on. Summerbee is lucky not to get a second booking for hand ball. Lita allows a cross to run for Craig Ireland who miskicks wildly. Lita forces a corner and Clayton Fortune heads wide. Brian Tinnion is replaced by Tony Dinning.

Dean Windass loops a shot just wide with Steve Phillips a spectator. Tranmere are now 3 up at Wrexham. Scott Murray comes on for Mickey Bell. City switch back to 4-4-2 with Jamie Smith dropping back to right back. Wilkshire on the left and Murray on the right. City build a fast counter attack which results in a corner which is wasted. More pressure from City results in a corner which is headed straight to Murray who shoots over. A bradford cross skims off the crossbar and goes out for a City corner. A Wilkshire shot goes over. Steve Howard has put Luton 2 up.

Danny Coles does well to clear a Summerbee cross as Bradford have a good spell. Lincoln City take the lead at home to the Gas. Murray shoots wide when well placed and found by Tony Dionning. Mark Goodfellow comes on for Bradley Orr. Luke Wilkshire switches to central midfield with Freezer on the left. The Gas have equalised and Steve Torpey has scored yet again for Scunthorpe. Jamie Smith does well and Steve Brooker just fails to get to Scott Murrays volleyed cross. Godfellow has a good run on the left but his cross lets him down.

Goodfellow has a good shot just wide. Hartlepool have equalised at Torquay. Ben Muirhead comes on for Morrison of Bradford. Hartlepool now lead at Torquay. City force a corner with 15 minutes left. Dinning shoots straight at the keeper. Danny Forest comes on for Andy Cooke for Bradford. Luton now 3 up at home to Stockport. Leroy Lita wins a free kick on the edge of the area, it is cleared to Dinning who puts Wilksire in whose cross is met by Brooker but his shot is blocked. Marc Goodfellow wins a corner but it comes to nothing and Bradford come close to scoring on the counter.

A shot from Forrest goes just wide with Phillips at full stretch. Craig Ireland does well to outpace Dean Windass when he is nearly through. Time is running out for City to maintain a play off place. A Murray shot is tipped behind for a late corner. Bradford are defending well. A counter attack sees Forrest caught offside. A Brooker shot goes wide as we enter 3 minutes of stoppage time.

Sheffield Wednesday get a late equaliser to see City in the play-off places again. Murray has a shot blocked and Brooker goes close but the full time whistle goes and City are frustrated by a good counter attacking performnce by Bradford City.

As things stand City will be in 6th place tonight. Peterborough get a late equaliser at Hull which sees Luton return to the top. Blackpool have equalised late at Swindon, a goal for Torquay would be good but I'm hoping for too much, City slip to 6th.
