CITY 1 Brentford 1

In the first minute Matty Hill is called upon to clear a dangerous cross from Frampton. Tony Butler twice clears John Salako crosses as the Bees are buzzig from the start. Rankin is caught offside as another Brentford attack breakls down. At the other end a Luke Wilkshire corner is well saved by Stuart Nelson.

Then John Salako curls a left footed free kick into the top right hand corner from 20 yards to put the Bees in front.

0-1 (7mins)

A free kick and corner from Mickey Bell come to nothing. Steve Phillips pulls off a fantastic point blank save to deny Rankin following another Salako free kick. Salako takes the corner that Butler clears for another which Phillips punches clear.

A shot by Talbot is saved by Phillips. Brentford look far more up for it than City. Steve Phillips is by far the busier keeper. Luton meanwhile are already 3-0 up at Southend. Rankin is booked for unsporting behaviour. John Salako has a shot wide.

A mis-kick by Nelson almost sees him embarrassed but Sodje clears. He then dives at the feet of Brooker to deny him. A deflected Luke Wilkshire shot is saved well as City try to get a goal back before half time. Lita pulls away from Sodje at the far post but his header is saved.

Steve Phillips is booked for mouthing off at the referee.

Half Time 0-1

City are out early for the second half. Brian Tinnion and Jamie Smith on for Orr and Butler. Coles returns to central defence with Matty Hill with Jamie Smith at left back and Tinnion replaces Bradley Orr.

Rankin has an early header well saved by Steve Phillips. Wilkshire has a pot shot which is comfortably saved by Nelson. A fair amount of noise from a seemingly low attendance at Ashton Gate. Stuart Nelson joins his fellow keeper in the referees book.

A curling shot from Deon Burton sails well over. Luke Wilkshire hits a shot well over at the other end following a good interchange with Brian Tinnion. A good move from City (Tinnion and Doherty) leads to a deflected shot from Scott Murray which is saved by Nelson.

Brentford win a free kick in an identical position from which they scored but it is hit straight into the wall. City break and win a corner but it is cleared. Murrays cross is met by Lita but the keeper palms the shot onto the roof of the net. From the corner Tinnion has an effort just over.

Isaiah Rankin just fails to connect with a Deon Burton cross at the other end. Murray has another shot blocked away for a corner. Steve Gillespie comes on to replace Mickey Bell. City will presumably switch to 3-4-3? Gillespies first touch puts Lita through, his shot is put behind for a corner and a couple of corners later Gillespies shot loops over. A Tinnion shot from 35 yards sails well over.

Jamie Lawrence comes on for John Salako who is booed for slowly making his way off the pitch. Time running out. Matty Hill heads behind for a Brentford corner. Sky Sports News have already shown John Salakos well taken free kick goal.

Matty Hill has been down injured for a couple of minutes. City nearly got an opportunity to score as the referee allowed an advantage. City camped in the Brentford half. LITA SCORES!!!!! after a howler from Stuart Nelson.

1-1 (89 mins)

Four minutes of injury time to win it!!

A shot from Luke Wilkshire goes over. A replay beckons.

Full Time 1-1

Relief all round as the unbeaten run continues.
