City boss delighted with 'good' win

IT may not have been the most convincing of wins, but it was a win all the same.

That was the view of many of the Bristol City supporters who turned out up to Ashton Gate last night to see their side scrape past League One Peterborough.

Another last gasp goal from Steve Brooker showed that City have the spirit for the fight this season and last minute goals in their first two matches of this season will leave opponents in no doubt that they need to be concentrating for 90 minutes.

City boss Gary Johnson was understandably happy with his sides win. He told the official website: "It was two good headers that ended up winning the game."

"Peterborough were nice and liveley, and we expected that. There certainly didn't look to be a division between the teams in the first half."

"I told they boys they needed to get moving in the second half and stop believing our own publicity. We didn't really want extra time and Brooks came up with another good winner late on."
