ALTHOUGH much was made of his decision to admit Bradley Orr and Ivan Sproule from his match-day squad on Tuesday, Gary Johnson appears to be standing by his decision to make changes.

The City boss made four changes to his side following the defeat to Crystal Palace including the return of goal scorer Nicky Maynard. With a fully fit squad to choose from, Johnson sees no reason not to shuffle his pack with the likes of John Akinde, James Wilson and Jennison Myrie-Williams also not part of the squad, the manager insisted it was a change in tactics which promoted him to alter his squad, he said,

"There were no injuries - they just weren't selected on the day. We have something like 26 fit players at this moment in time so someone was going to be disappointed.

"We were always going to mix and chop, and lads can't get on the bench. We wanted two strikers, as we are at home, we need wide players and cover at the back."
