FACING Bristol City tonight is one of the most famous names in football.

Darren Ferguson showed last season he has what it takes to be a great manager and having seen his father guide Manchester United to trophy after trophy seems to have paid dividends. The younger Ferguson has always been keen to step out of his fathers shadow but as when he was a player, the famous Ferguson connection will continue to be made.

Speaking ahead of tonight's game with Peterborough, City's manager has spoken of the respect he has for Ferguson Jr and also for the clubs top man, Barry Fry. He told BCFC.co.uk: "He's a wiley manager, chip off the old block. Having said that I'm sure he would like to be his own man, you can't always be 'son of'."

On Director of Football, Barry Fry, Johnson said: "I've also got a great respect for Barry Fry. We go back a long way and I can say he fully deserves every acolade. He's really put his life, heart and soul into football."
