BRISTOL boss Gary Johnson has already spoken about his dislike of the transfer windown system once this week but refused to confirm if his side will be doing further business before the 1st September deadline.

The club's major business has involved Nicky Maynard who joined from Crewe for £2.25m and more recently Andy Webster joined from Rangers on a six-month loan, which Gary hinted, may he the way he looks to do business before Tuesday.

City have been linked with a move for James Scowcroft who is seemingly surpless to requirements at Crystal Palace after the club agreed a deal with Ispwich for Alan Lee but Johnson brushed off any talk that he will be making a 'panic buy for the sake of it'.

He told the official website: "To be honest, the sooner Tuesday comes the better. It makes everyone unsettled; players, managers and chairmen.

"I'll not do anything for the sake of it or because im panicking. I'm happy with the squad and if I can enhance it then I'll do it."

Johnson refused to comment on newspaper speculation linking him to any player but said,

"If something does need to happen after midnight on Monday then we do have the emergency loan/ We try and use it as emergency only, unlike some clubs."
