City transfer list Orr

BRISTOL City defender Bradley Orr has been transfer listed by Gary Johnson following the rejection of a new contract.

Orr, 26, was left out of City's side to face Watford on Tuesday, with many questioning his omission. Initially, Johnson said the decision was a part of a 'rotation' policy but it is believed that the former Newcastle trainee's decision to reject a contract extension was part of his decision.

"Brad was offered a contract and reoffered and reoffered, but he made it pretty plain he won't be signing a new deal," Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol.

"We've got to pick a team of people who have a future here. if you're looking away, it's a different mentality."

Orr's contract expires next summer and City were hoping to tie him to a long-term deal having played a part in the promotion campaign from League One and last season's push for the Premiership. The City boss admitted he would review the situation in January, but wasn't ruling out Orr staying with the club,

"We don't know if he's played his last game. Maybe if January comes and he doesn't get the big move he's hoping for he'll have to keep competing for a place.

"If there isn't something there regarding a move, he's probably made a poor decision. But we will circulate his name."
