City youngster called up to Australia squad

YOUNG forward Rob Stambolziev has been called up by the Australian U-20s international squad to take part in a specially arranged training camp.

The second year scholar with City, has been invited to join an 18-man squad in the countries capital Canberra after recently impressing in a training camp in Holland organised by the new U20's boss Jan Cersleijen.

Rob will get his chance to make an impression ahead of the Asian Football Championship's which take place in October in Thailand. Academy manager John Clayton told the official website: "Everyone is delighted for Rob and this is an excellent oppertunity for him at such a young age."
