City Youth Team through in the FA Cup

Bristol City under 18s have progressed to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup by impressively beating Everton 2-0 at Goodison Park last night. They face Leeds United at Ashton Gate in the next round. It would be good to see a big turn out to cheer them on.

Last season they narrowly lost to a star studded Arsenal side on penalties at The Emirates having given them quite a scare. The FA Youth Cup is seen as a useful yardstick in measuring the potential in emerging players and therefore the future success of their team. The Man Utd Youth Cup winners of 1992 contained Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt who then went on to dominate the newly formed Prmiership in the 1990s.
