City are expected to complete the deal early tomorrow morning with Akinde having spent yesterday watching the club's 1-1 draw with QPR. Daish looks likely to see the striker join the West Country club tomorrow after 7,500 members of Fleet's owners myfootballclub.co.uk voted 82% in favour of selling the striker for a fee which looks to be around £150,000.
The 19-year-old forward has played just 34 games for the club scoring 12 goals but has yet to feature for the side this season.
Daish told BBC Sport: "We won't stand in his way. It's a great move for him."
