IT may not be a case of win of bust be the noises coming out of Ashton Gate this week suggest that City need a positive result tonight.

The City manager was answering questions before tonight's game and refused to describe the match as a 'must win' if his side want to achieve promotion. Where as Johnson's side stayed unbeaten until October last season a return of one home win in four and two defeats in three games sees City sitting in sixth, but ten points behind pace setters Wolves.

"It's still very early," said Gary told the official website. "Tonight's result is very important because a win would make our start to the season look better than it does currently."

Johnson repeated his delight at signing a new contract with City and was positve that they could improve on last season's impressive third place. He refused to be drawn into saying that Wolves and Birmingham are the teams to beat but said,

"Having said that we are up there in a play-off position; we have to repel those teams behind us and catch up everyone ahead of us.

"Let's see where we are after ten games and take it from there."
