"It will be a good football game, that's for sure," said Dowie.
"We all react to results more than performances but it was a very good performance against Preston.
"We had 20 shots to their two, in terms of possession dominated 60-40 and our passing was way over 280 compared to their 180, so it was a very impressive performance against a club fighting for their lives.
"So performances have been good and we should be confident.
"If you listen to the lads there is a belief around the camp.
"Now we have to keep doing what we have done well and the reason we are where we are is because we have worked as hard as anyone, and often harder, and we have been prepared to work for our team-mates. If someone makes a mistake someone else will cover."
