COVENTRY City defender Michael Doyle has called on his team to put in a good performance against Bristol City this weekend to build a base for a Cup upset toe following week.

The 27-year old has only recently returned to the team following injury but has been very impressed with their start to the season. Doyle described the game between Bristol City and Coventry as a 'marker' for their campaign and said he hopes to be involved in two 'big' matches. He told CCFC.co.uk: "These are two really big games for us coming up."

"If we can get the right result against Bristol City it sets us up nicely for the Newcastle game. Both sides bring a different challenge and I'm sure our supporters will want to see the Ricoh as close to capacity as possible."
