Media reports had suggested that Wolves, Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion were leading the race to sign the City midfielder.

"Marvin is under contract here and we have had no offers," City's chief executive Colin Sexstone told the Evening Post.

"I don't think he would want to go to anyone outside the Premier League."
