MARVIN Elliott has told the media he is 'satisfied' with the way his side are currently performing despite an inconsistent period leaving them off the pace in the Championship.

The midfielder has now re-established himself in the Bristol City team after an early injury kept him out of the first two months of the season. Last season's young player of the year has said he is 'pleased to be playing' after missing much of pre-season and the start of the Championship campaign.

When asked about the team's recent form Marvin said the team 'can play better' but thinks it 'won't be long' before they are back to form. He told the Bristol Evening Post,

"I'm happy to be back in the team and I'm happy with my game.

It's always difficult when you have to come back from an injury and play catch-up and it took me a long time. When you have a game like mine, you need a lot of games to get back to peak physical condition. I've been back in the team for a while now and I feel my game is coming back."

Elliott was also answering questions about the club's attacking options this season as suggestions exist that Gary Johnson's system is to negative too get results, especially at home. The midfielder denied this, suggesting that the Robins have 'top quality' strikers who will 'begin finding the net soon'.

He told BBC Radio Bristol,

"As long as we're doing the other parts of our games as well, it doesn't really matter who scores, as long as we do"
