'Elliott injury requires patience,' says City boss.

MARVIN Elliott looks unlikely to start for Brisol City on Saturday but his position is still under consideration insists Gary Johnson.

The midfielder played 90 minutes for the reserves last night and has now completed two full games for the second-string in the last couple of weeks after returning from injury.

Having lost to Birmingham, City will be looking to bounce back immediately on Saturday and will be seeking to secure their first home win of the season and end a run of four games without a win in all competitions.

Johnson has admitted that Elliott is a consideration but says he will not rush the midfielder back. He told the official website:
"At the moment he's not quite ready," said Gary. "But that doesn't mean he won't get a place (in the squad).

"We have to decide whether to push him a little bit earlier. When you've been out for so long it takes a little while to get back up to full speed.

"But we know what Marvin's about. He was our young player of the year last season and his return will be a big boost for us."
