CITY midfielder Marvin Elliott this morning returned to training having missed the first month of the season with a knee injury.

Last season's young player of the year joined his team mates at Abbot's Leigh this morning looking to put the disapointment of missing City's first six games behind him.

Despite his return to full training, Elliott will not be involved in tonight's reserve game against Southampton but with two weeks to recover during the international break, he could prove his fitness and play a part in City's trip to Cardiff on the 13th September.

In other injury news Cole Skuse and Jamie McAllister will return to training later this week having been diagnosed with foot and ankle injuries respectively.
