Elliott to return against Cardiff?

PREPARING his team for their first game in two weeks, Gary Johnson has confirmed that Marvin Elliott is part of his plans.

The midfielder only made a return to action on Monday after suffering knee problems in pre-season but said he planned to 'work hard' and get back into the first team picture as soon as possible. It appears that Elliott may be part of Gary Johnson's plans sooner than first expected.

City go into the game unbeaten in four and having performed brilliantly in their two away games so far this season, speaking to the press before his team make the short trip down the M4, Gary confirmed that Elliott had impressed him by bouncing back from injury disappointment so quickly.

He said: "He's got a chance of being involved. He had a good run-out in the reserves and did well.

"We'll make a decision on the day, as everyone of you (in the press) knows, I don't pick my team on a Thursday."
