PETERBOROUGH manager Darren Ferguson told the media of his disbelief after his side were dumped out of the Carling Cup last night.

The League Two side took the last in the first half but were pegged back by goals from Louis Carey and Steve Brooker which sent City through to the next round leaving a rather sour taste in Ferguson's mouth.

He told the Daily Mail: "We don't deserve to be out and I can't believe we are. There were huge parts of the game we were in control of."

Ferguson was equally stunned at the fact he was sent to the touchline for disent eleven minutes from the end and said: "I am mystifyed by that decision to be honest. Perhaps he (the referee) wanted to tell his grandchildren he sent off a Ferguson. I have no idea what I did wrong."
