"It was a very good first-half performance but we tired in the second half and had the walking wounded out there.

"We had three dead legs: Louis Carey, Cole Skuse and Brian Wilson. We could only use three subs and we had to replace Steve Brooker midway through the first half who had also been suffering with a dead leg before the game.

"On top of that we've had a bit of a bug going around the club and a few of them were suffering because they had put so much effort in the first half to put us in a winning position."

"The players stuck at it in the second half when we were playing for our pride in front of our home supporters and I thought we performed very well. I am confident we can turn this around."

"The damage was done in the first half when we let it slip away. We won the second half when we reorganised and changed one or two players and were much more positive but when you lose three goals like that it makes it very hard.

"We are certainly making it very difficult for ourselves and as each game goes by it becomes more and more important. Saturday's game against Leyton Orient now counts as a massive one."
