"We have our targets and all the coaching staff are working very hard to bring them to Ashton Gate," Johnson told the club's official website.
"But I cannot afford to publicly go out and name names as that would only alert other clubs as to the availability of the players concerned.
"I'd ask the supporters to speculate all they wish, but to trust us when I say we're doing all we can behind the scenes."
