Gary. 'Let's keep on surprising them'

City have only lost once all season and have not been beaten at home yet. Boss Gary Johnson thinks that opposing teams are going to have to take his club seriously now that they are near the top of the table so far into the season.

"If we are the surprise packet, then let's keep on surprising people," declared Johnson. "But I'm not sure how much longer we can be described in that way. I don't think anyone is going to be surprised for too long.

"Some people are saying we have been lucky and that our bubble will burst, but we don't listen to silly comments like that. I think 14 games is too long for us to have been fortunate.

"I'd rather go right through the season with people calling us the surprise package, but sooner or later, they are going to have to take us seriously.

"I don't think anyone in this division would be so unprofessional as to take us lightly. I don't think there's anyone out there who has done that.

"We've not played a team who have been Billy Big-Time and made us think 'they've let us off'. Every game has been competitive and we're still waiting to find the team that is going to lie down and die for us."
