GaryJohnson voted BBC West Sports Personality of the Year

Gary Johnson won a viewers poll beating competition from Rugby Union's Bristol and England hooker Mark Regan and Gloucester head coach Dean Ryan as well as National Hunt trainer Paul Nicholls.

Basso won the award for Best Footballer in the West having just completed his 100th appearance for the club.
