COVENTRY City defender Marcus Hall has targeted the weekend's game between Bristol City and his Coventry side as a 'marker' for how well Coventry can do this year.

The Sky Blues, much changed under Chris Coleman in 2008/09, have started with two wins in two after just avoiding relegation last season and Coventry defender Marcus Hall hopes that his side can keep up their good start.

Coventry's 2-1 win at Barnsley on Saturday was the first time the club have made a 100% start since relegation from the top flight in 2001 and now Hall is looking ahead to the game with City as a chance to prove how good they are. He told the club's official website: "It will provide us with a real test of how far we have come and should also be great for the supporters."

"Personally I felt pre-season had gone well and we look ready to go."
